 The
specialized therapy available through the Hand Care Center helps patients
regain function and may prevent the need for surgery. The Hand Care Center
offers direct access to licensed physical and occupational therapists,
working under the guidance of physicians, to facilitate healing and recovery.
When an employee is injured, therapists assess the functional requirements
of the employee's work and activities to develop a custom therapy program.
A therapist is available to visit the work site to assist with appropriate
job placement and help return the employee to work as quickly as possible.
