In 1997, Jewish Hospital Frazier Rehab Institute implemented a comprehensive sports medicine program that has evolved into Jewish Sports Medicine (JSM), a program providing medical services to the physically active Kentuckiana community.

As part of the Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare organization, JSM offers a comprehensive range of services including education, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and wellness from a specially trained and certified staff ensuring the highest quality care possible. Certified Athletic Trainers and other professionals in the area of sports medicine provide a holistic approach to the athlete, no matter the level of competition.

JSM offers an extensive array of services, packaged with a multi-faceted approach. This approach keeps people in the game of life by helping them understand the need for education and preventative measures, for the entire individual-physically and mentally.

SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS
JSM is the official sports medicine provider for the University of Louisville Athletic Department, and treats all student-athletes from the injury, to diagnosis, to treatment and then rehabilitation.

JSM is also affiliated with Bellarmine University, DuPont Manual High School and Doss High School. For DuPont Manual HS and Doss HS, JSM provides a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to help out with all sports at each respective high school.

In addition, JSM has a longstanding partnership with the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA). JSM hosts the KHSAA Sports Medicine Symposium each year, a mandatory training program for all high school football coaches.

UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE SPORTS MEDICINE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
JSM and the University of Louisville partnered together in 1998 to run the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. The program, run by Dr. Jonathan Becker, provides training opportunities for doctors in the sports medicine field. The program operates out of the Cardinal Station Offices on Central Avenue next to Jim Patterson Stadium (home of Cardinal baseball). Services available include diagnosis, testing and rehabilitation for all types of sports-related injuries.
