Jewish Hospital Among
America’s Best

Makes Top-50 List in U.S. News & World Report

For the fourth consecutive year, Jewish Hospital has been ranked among the nation’s top 50 hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Hospitals” feature. Jewish Hospital is the only hospital in Louisville and only one of three hospitals in Kentucky to make the list of the “50 Best Hospitals.”

“Making ‘America’s Best Hospitals’ list, four years in a row, is a great accomplishment for Jewish Hospital,” said Deborah Molnar, chief operating officer for Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare. “This is the third year in a row for heart care, the second year in a row for respiratory — and now, for the first time, we have been added to the list for neurology/ neurosurgery and endocrinology,” Molnar said.

“This neurology ranking provides national recognition of the great strides we have made becoming the region’s top facility for stroke care,” said neurologist James Gebel, M.D. “Our commitment to excellence provides hope for a normal life for many patients who would otherwise be permanently incapacitated by the devastating effects of stroke.”

“We are here as a resource to our patients and we take pride in providing them great health care services,” said cardiothoracic surgeon Brian Ganzel, M.D. “If we get recognized along the way, that is just icing on the cake for us.”
