Knowing your heart health is key to preventing heart attacks and heart disease. Click the button at the top of the page to take our free online heart health risk assessment and learn more about heart risk factors, symptoms and warning signs.

Jewish Heart Care and the Heart & Lung Institute at Jewish Hospital set the standard for heart care. The system boasts the region’s only Accredited Chest Pain Centers (at Jewish Hospital Downtown, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, Jewish Hospital Medical Center East, and Jewish Hospital Shelbyville) as well as rankings in U.S. News and World Report’s Top 50 listing of America’s Best Hospitals for three years straight in heart care and two years straight for respiratory care. Jewish Hospital is also the only facility in the Louisville area to offer the state of the art Stereotaxis™ technology in treating heart patients. Stereotaxis is a new technology that boasts patient safety benefits such as shorter, less invasive procedures; less exposure to X-ray radiation; reduction in contrast dyes injected into patient blood vessels; and lower risk of complication due to Gentle Touch technology.

Jewish Heart Care offers a full continuum of care for cardiovascular and pulmonary patients, from prevention to surgery and rehabilitation. We offer the full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional heart care services including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, electrophysiology, pulmonary function testing and hyperbaric medicine.

Jewish Hospital is also one of only a few facilities in the world offering a complete range of surgical treatments for end-stage heart failure including cardiac transplantation, ventricular assist devices, cardiomyoplasty and ventricular remodeling.
