Sleep Centers

Sleep apnea is serious. Untreated, it raises the risk of high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, irregular heart rhythms, heart attack, stroke, memory loss, and even death. If you have symptoms of sleep apnea night after night, talk to your doctor. You may need to participate in a sleep study.

What are Symptoms of Sleep Disorders?
Symptoms that lead patients to seek treatment include snoring, restlessness, choking, or sweating during sleep. Other symptoms are morning headaches, and/or daytime fatigue.

What is a Sleep Study?
A sleep study, or polysomnogram, is an electro-physiologic procedure that records a variety of bodily functions during sleep including electrical activity of the brain, eye movement, muscle activity, heart rate, breathing and blood oxygen levels. Board-certified physicians specializing in sleep medicine read all sleep studies.
